When I look at the official Subaru maintenance schedule, it also says "inspect" rather than "replace" CVT fluid every 30 months or 30,000 miles. It helps if I press the accelerator gently when accelerating from a full stop or during crawl speeds of 0-40km/hr. I notice a drop in power when going uphill. When I go on sport mode, it helps.

WebDec 19, 2024 · Turns out the "fill port" on the driver's side of the front DIFFERENTIAL is actually a port into the CVT. You fill the diff through the same port on the passenger side. The plug on the driver's side in a similar location is sealed with an o-ring. I drained the CVT cold and carefully measure how much I got out - 5 qts.
