I should've mentioned that the current FreeNAS box doesn't have any more internal space to place the drive into. 10x 2tb was also among the lines. One idea is Asustor as6210T nas, but it's not cheap and the cpu is quite ancient WebI've been looking at some budget Synology NAS' such as the DS216j and the DS218j, but I wondered if it was possible to go any cheaper; I don't need the ability to host a Plex server, for example. I really just want a basic NAS that can host a RAID 1 array, and as I said my bandwidth requirements are minimal enough that a Pi was barely limiting me.

The A2SDi-2C-HLN4F supports 8 SATA drives.
