The ease with which you can install the Needle-Leaf WEDGE is one of its primary advantages. Installing each peice of the Needle-Leaf WEDGE should take only moments.
Take Care of the Gutters Themselves
Step 1. Clean gutters and downspouts of debris. Just rememer, this is the last time that you have to Clean-Out your gutters! No more cleaning gutters, season after season, year after year.
Step 2. Check the condition and pitch of the gutters to ensure that water will flow toward the downspouts. Gutters should be angled for a 1/4th inch drop every 10 feet with the downspout at the lowest point. If necessary, a gutter installation company can repair or readjust faulty gutters.
Step 3. Run a bead of adhesive (such as P L Adhesive from Home Depot) on the inside of the gutter surface not touching the house. Follow the instructions on the adhesive package for best results.
Step 4. Place the 4 foot length of the Needle-Leaf WEDGE Half-Round into the gutter. The edge farthest from the house will have adhesive.
Step 5. Make sure that each successive length of Needle-Leaf WEDGE Half-Round fits snuggly from end to end. Where two pieces of WEDGE meet, be sure to press them tightly against each other. You shouldn't be able to see where one piece ends and the next piece begins. Any gaps between lengths will allow needles, leaves and debris to collect inside the gutter and clog the gutter and downspout.
